Uses

The setup, honestly.

Not a wishlist. These are the tools currently installed, paid for, and used on a normal Tuesday. I update this page when something actually changes.

Hardware

The machines that do the work.

Mac mini M4 · 16GB Primary workstation. Runs the agent stack, builds, and everything dockerised.
DJI Mic 2 Wireless lav kit — the default for recording away from the desk.
blue Blue Yeti USB condenser on the desk for calls and voice takes.
DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Handheld camera for podcast clips and product demos.
RØDE RØDE boom arm Keeps the mic off the desk and out of the keyboard's way.

Daily drivers

Open first, closed last.

Obsidian Notes vault as the single source of truth — projects, decisions, writing.
Warp + Ghostty Warp for agent-driven work, Ghostty for plain speed.
Raycast Launcher, clipboard history, quick scripts.
1Password Every credential, no exceptions.
Notion Shared docs and plans that other humans have to read.

Build stack

What I reach for by default.

Go Services, payment integrations and anything that must not fall over.
Laravel / PHP Where the e-commerce world still lives, and honestly thrives.
PostgreSQL The default answer to 'which database'.
TypeScript Edge workers, APIs, and the frontend.
Cloudflare Workers, Pages, D1, R2, Turnstile — most of my side projects live here.
Docker Local parity, plus a small self-hosted stack.
Tailscale Private network across machines and networks.

Observability & delivery

Because production doesn't page itself — but it should.

Sentry Errors with enough context to actually fix them.
Graylog Centralised logs for the older estate.
SigNoz SigNoz Traces and metrics when latency is the bug.
GitHub Actions CI that fails loudly and early.
swarmia Swarmia Engineering metrics — DORA, cycle time, the honest ones.

Home lab

Where the hobbies and the day job meet.

Home Assistant On a Raspberry Pi, wired to sensors, switches and the agent stack.
Synology NAS Storage, backups, and the vault that outlives laptops.
Hermes Hermes Agent Self-hosted agent runtime on the Mac mini — automations, cron, memory.
LM Studio Local models for when a request shouldn't leave the house.
